FINANCE MANAGER
Surprise Attack Pty Ltd (comprised of Double Jump Communications and Fellow Traveller Games) is searching for a Finance Manager to oversee and deliver the company's core financial functions, including compliance and forecasting.
The ideal candidate will be a Xero and spreadsheet wiz, that is comfortable working with numerous processes and currencies.
You will be the financial go-to point for the company's two leaders and play a major role in ensuring that leadership has excellent guidance and information on financial areas, especially forecasting. You'll also manage a Finance Officer who is responsible for payroll, AP etc.
We currently believe this to be a 3 day / 0.6FT equivalent to begin but could grow into FT depending on candidate's capabilities.
Responsibilities
Overseeing the financial operations of the business
Preparing financial/management reports in a timely manner
Developing and managing processes for forecasting and budgets
Supporting long term business and financial planning & strategy
Providing cash management/finance facilities appropriate to operations
Maintaining taxation affairs/government funding of the company
Ensuring integrity and controls of the financial systems and processes
Manage financial supplier relationships
Overseeing payroll, accounts receivable and payable, royalty reports, quarterly BAS statements
Preparing end of financial year returns
Briefing and educating other team members on the correct financial processes to follow
Organisation governance and risk management
Maintaining the companys’ equity structure
Advising the board/directors on good governance practices
Developing risk management frameworks, mitigation and controls
Develop and ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies and procedures
Managing the administration of the company’s board meetings
Managing our assets
Maintaining the company’s asset register
Qualifications
Melbourne, Australia based preferred, although not mandatory
CPA qualified related
10+ years of relevant experience
Fluency in Xero software and Excel/Sheets
Preferably some experience in an international/global business involving clients and income streams from multiple countries and in multiple currencies, managing withholding tax and other international taxation considerations
They preferably have experience working within an organisation in the creative industry such as publishing, media, advertising, design marketing, entertainment
